Turtle Cove Research Station Field Trip

This members-only Field Trip will include a pontoon boat ride down Pass Manchac, during which we will learn about the natural history of the physical environment, environmental history (social, economic, and cultural aspects), impacts of cypress deforestation and ecosystem restoration, and physical and socioeconomic impacts of and solutions to wetland loss and coastal erosion. We can expect to see a variety of flora and fauna, including alligators, snakes, birds, mammals, fish, and invertebrates. 

Afterwards, attendees may wish to go on to a walk on the Joyce Wildlife Management Area SwampWalk.
