Turtle Cove Research Station Field Trip

This members only Field Trip will include a pontoon boat ride down Pass Manchac during which we will learn about the natural history of the physical environment; environmental history (social, economic, and cultural aspects); impacts of cypress deforestation and ecosystem restoration; and physical and socioeconomic impacts of and solutions to wetland loss and coastal erosion. We can expect to see a variety of flora and fauna, including alligators, snakes, birds, mammals, fish, and invertebrates. 

Afterwards, attendees may wish to go on to a walk on the Joyce Wildlife Management Area SwampWalk.
