Seed Packing

Let’s get ready for giveaways! Help NPI prep and pack seeds for upcoming events, with experts on hand to provide all the whys and how’s. Depending on the weather, the packing party will happen at the Lath House or the Playhouse, located as C and G on this map of Longue Vue. Bonus: All volunteers get free admission to Longue Vue the day of the event, but please sign up ahead of time at https://luma.com/kyuxu4e9 to make check-in smoother.  NPI will provide seeds, envelopes and some tools, but if you can bring sieves, colanders, or measuring spoons, they’ll be most useful. If you’ve been collecting seeds from native plants, bring them along to share (check out the tips at NPI’s website), and watch for free NPI seeds at a library near you soon (more info in the November newsletter). As always, everyone is welcome, NPI member or not (to join NPI, follow this link to zeffy.com).
