Big Lake Trail – Matrix Planting

We will be joined again by the New Orleans Town Gardeners for an exciting new planting along the Big Lake Native Plant Trail.  This large area was cleared and prepared by volunteers in November with cardboard sheeting and heavy mulch.  Now, we are planting over 1000 native plants in a planned matrix where they will intermingle and weave together in a native prairie-inspired design.  All plants are in small containers, so planting should not be too strenuous....many hands make light work!
